We have some amazing news to share; Better Bean™ brand just got even better! Why? You ask. Well, our beans are now kosher! We have been certified by the Orthodox Jewish Congregation of America, or simply the Orthodox Union (OU). This is the biggest and most trusted kosher certifying organization in the United States (we don’t mess around).
The Better Bean™ brand kosher journey all began in Wilsonville, Oregon on a sunny September day with a Rabbi and a handful of bean enthusiasts. With careful review of our ingredients and production facility, followed by boiling over of our equipment, our kosher status became official!
All of us at the Better Bean Company are excited to share this news with you because it means more to us than just extra words on our package. This means more people can say YES to all the goodness Better Bean has to offer. We truly want our product to be loved by all lifestyles and compliment as many dietary needs as possible, so being kosher is another step forward.
All eight of our tasty flavors will be considered certified kosher after 12/01/2017 sell-by date. The official OU seal will grace our containers starting early 2018.

Thanks. I look forward to trying “The Better Bean” (which is now kosher).
I live in the area of Manhattan called Chelsea and hope I can easily find it in stores near me. I will look for it.
