Quickie Quesadilla


  • Base Ingredients

  • Whole Wheat, Flour or Gluten Free Tortilla
  • Your favorite Better Bean
  • Cheese
  • Other Optional Ingredients (Inside)

  • Sliced Avocado
  • Favorite Salsa
  • Fresh Tomatoes
  • Sautéed zuchinni, onions or peppers
  • Meat... vegan or not :)
  • The only limit is your creativity
  • Optional Toppings

  • Guacamole
  • Salsa
  • Sour Cream / Yogurt
  • Heidi Ho Vegan Chia Cheese Sauce


  1. Heat a pan without oil – non-stick and cast iron work best.
  2. Add tortilla to pan, heat on one side
  3. Flip & add cheese to one half
  4. Spoon on and spread beans
  5. Add any other desired ingredients
  6. Fold & heat on one side until brown
  7. Flip to other side to thoroughly heat beans & cheese
  8. Plate and add toppings
  9. Serve and Eat Up! Then come back for seconds!

Our family makes quesadillas on a weekly basis – and since we all have our preferred Better Bean, I make them all a little different. I make mine with Uncanny Black Beans. West, my son, gets his with the Cuban Black Beans. My husband likes the Skillet Refried Red Beans and his grandmother loves the Chipotle Beans in her quesadilla. So I spoon out some from each tub and save the rest for other meals or snacks!
