Baked Black Bean & Onion Flautas with Red Chili Drizzle


  • 1 14oz container Better Beans Uncanny Refried Black Beans
  • 12 yellow corn tortillas
  • 1 white onion chopped
  • 1 cup red chile sauce (link to recipe below)
  • Olive oil
  • Queso fresco or feta cheese for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh or dried cilantro for garnish (optional)


Preheat oven to 400° F. Grease a cookie sheet, set aside.
In a saucepan or skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of
olive and your chopped onion. Saute for 3-5 minutes, or until
onions are beginning to look translucent. Set aside.
Brush your corn tortillas with olive oil, set aside.
Take one tortilla and in the center add: approx. 1 tbs of black
beans + 1 tbs of sauteed onion. Fold one side in and roll.
Place seam side down on greased cookie sheet. Repeat with
remaining ingredients.
Bake your flautas for 15-20 minutes, or until the filling is
beginning to bubble out & the tortillas are crisp.
Let cool a few minutes, drizzle with red chile sauce, and
optionally garnish with cilantro and/or cheese before serving.

Yield: 12 flautas
